Resource Development Department |
The responsibilities include the development planning of literature resources, acquisition, processing, organization, and management of these resources, performance evaluation and analysis of literature resources, management of fixed assets of department reference rooms, and business guidance for the construction of departmental literature resources. Specific duties are as follows: 1. Formulate the development plan for the construction of library literature resources. 2. Formulate and improve relevant policies regarding collections development, digital resources development and so on. 3. Formulate the annual budget and literature resources acquisition plans. 4. The acquisition, acceptance check, asset registration and management of literature resources. 5. The classification and cataloging, subject indexing, processing, storage and evaluation of paper resources. 6. The usage statistics, analysis, evaluation and system management of electronic resources. 7. Implement the "Collection Quality Improvement Project". 8. The management of donated books and periodicals as well as exchange materials. 9. The collection and management of multimedia resources and open access resources. 10. The management of the discovery system and the performance analysis platform for the utilization of electronic resources. 11. Provide business guidance and support for the construction and management of departmental literature resources. 12. Other tasks assigned by leadership. |
Circulation and Reading Department |
The responsibilities include the lending and reading services of Chinese and foreign language books, as well as the reading services of Chinese and foreign language periodicals, reading spaces service and management, collections organization and management, new books shelving and recommendation, reader consultation services, interlibrary loan services, reading promotion, management of library-related student associations, and managing reader cards and records. Specific duties are as follows: 1. The basic work of circulation and reading, including the management of equipment, space, and paper collection resources. 2. The management of reader cards and records, and coordinate with relevant school departments to promptly handle matters related to graduation, leave of absence, withdrawal from studies, and other academic record changes concerning the library. 3. The formulation and implementation of the adjustment plan for the collection layout. 4. The management of self-service book return machines outside the library and other self-service equipment. 5. The management and resource inventory of dormitory area libraries in Jiulonghu campus. 6. Formulate the service content, service mode and implementation plan of reading promotion and learning support. 7. Online and offline book recommendations. 8. Guide student associations like "Shanyuan Reading Club" in organizing campus reading activities. 9. Organize activities of "Hongsheng SEU" reading club and departmental "Two Months Two Seasons". 10. Data statistical analysis work such as departmental reading reports and graduates' reading data, and content organization and update of the learning support column and the freshman column. 11. Manage, utilize, and promote new technology spaces. 12. Lead coordination efforts for professional accreditation processes. 13. Take the lead in managing and serving co-construction and sharing initiatives. 14. Other tasks assigned by leadership. |
Subject Service Department |
Organize a team of subject librarians based on school departmental orientations, to carry out embedded subject services. This includes analyzing the trends in subject development and conducting frontier tracking to provide comprehensive support for subject growth. Collaborate with relevant departments to conduct information literacy education, fostering readers' awareness of information and their ability to acquire and utilize documentary information. Educate readers on the use of documentary information through various forms of training and lectures, both online and offline. Specific duties are as follows: 1. Lead the subject liaison work across all schools within the university. 2. Provide research support services, completing search and citation mandates for the entire school as specified by the work guidelines. 3. Deepen the "Precision Intelligence Service Project" and implement research evaluation support services. 4. Offer reference consulting services. 5. Conduct information literacy education. 6. Organize and manage teaching at Master's degree program. 7. Collection development support. 8. Participate in the "Two Seasons Two Months" activities. 9. Other tasks assigned by leadership. |
Novelty Search and Intellectual Property Service Department |
1. Routine operation and novelty search services of Novelty Search Site of the Ministry of Education, completing novelty search mandates for the university. 2. Review of novelty search reports of collaborating organizations. 3. Organization and conduct of pre-searches for high-value patents and patent information services for major projects. 4. Conducting statistics and analysis of patent information. 5. Intellectual property promotion and information literacy training. 6. Routine operation and service provision of University National Intellectual Property Information Service Center. 7. Other tasks assigned by leadership. |
Technical Support Department |
1. Management, maintenance, secure operation, and data backup of the library's integrated management system and other application service platforms(Institutional Repository (IR), thesis papers, etc). 2. Security supervision of the library server room and network environment. 3. Development, management, maintenance, and secure operation of the website and certain service platforms. 4. Management and maintenance of all library software and hardware systems and reader service equipment, including technical support, content updates, and releases. 5. Network information security assurance for the entire library. 6. Tracking, research, application environment evaluation, and introduction related to“Smart SEU Library”. 7. Local preservation of digital resources, construction, maintenance, and permanent use guarantee of relevant platforms. 8. Collection, cleaning, preservation, analysis, management of school academic achievement data, reader behavior data, and library operation data, along with the construction and maintenance of related platforms. 9. Provision of academic research data support and relevant analytical reports to the university. 10. Technical and data support for library reader activities. 11. Other tasks assigned by leadership. |
Special Collection & Culture Development Department |
Responsible for the planning of the construction and development of the special collections resources in the library, including the demonstration for the acquisition of special collections resources and the planning of sorting and research, as well as the cultural construction and activity planning based on special collections. Responsible for the development planning, construction and research work of special collections resources, the management and utilization of special collections spaces, the promotion of special collections culture, the overall planning for the promotion of library brand cultural activities, coordinating the promotion of library brand cultural activities, constructing convergence media of the library and its internal and external publicity, leading the solidification of publicity and reading promotion outcomes, and designing cultural and creative products. Specific duties are as follows: 1. Developing strategic plans for special collections resources. 2. Managing the construction of special collections and overseeing their disclosure and research. 3. Managing, utilizing, promoting, and marketing special collections spaces. 4. Organizing cultural activities and exhibitions related to special collections. 5. Leading the development of cultural activity plans and reading promotion activity plans for the library, and participating in their execution. 6. Coordinating library brand cultural activities and reading promotion events. 7. Coordinating guided reading sessions and the solidification of outcomes. 8. Designing cultural and creative products. 9. Leading convergence media publicity of the library. 10. Editing and releasing publications such as "Library Newsletter", "Book Paradise", and "Annual TOP Reading Report". 11. Other tasks assigned by leadership. |
Library Administration Office |
Party affairs and personnel work. Responsible for the specific operations that ensure the daily functioning of the library, including overall coordination of administrative affairs, party affairs, personnel and librarian development, business management, financial management, and research management. Specific duties are as follows: 1. Overall coordination of library administrative affairs. 2. Management of party affairs and human resources. 3. Business management within the library. 4. Research management within the library. 5. Filling, maintaining, and updating various types of business data for the library. 6. Handling reader feedback through the director's mailbox, BBS, and other channels, as well as public opinion management. 7. Safety, sanitation, and fire prevention work in the library. 8. Organization and management of librarian training. 9. Financial management. 10. Management of fixed assets such as equipment and furniture across the library. 11. Coordination of library meetings and external liaison work. 12. Work related to the Retirees Association and the labor union. 13. Management of spaces like Exhibition Center, and various meeting rooms, along with activity coordination. 14. Support for events such as "Two Seasons Two Months". 15. Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao Branch Library Office |
Responsible for the circulation and reading services at Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao campus branch libraries, including the management of book and periodical reading rooms, study spaces, public areas, and reader-used equipment. Also responsible for managing Foreign Teaching Materials Center of China Education Ministry, Guoding Reading Room, Tong Jun Collection and Exhibition Room. Undertake reading promotion, library entry education and learning support services in Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao Campuses. Responsible for the liaison with departments and disciplines at both campuses. Specific duties are as follows: 1. Providing circulation and reading services at Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao campuses; planning and implementing the layout of collections; organizing and managing the binding of print journals in campus libraries. 2. Managing book and periodical reading rooms, study spaces, public areas, and reader-used equipment at Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao campuses. 3. Organizing reading promotion activities at Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao campuses. 4. Handling daily consultations at Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao campuses; reviewing novelty searches for doctoral thesis proposals; full coverage of library entry education for freshmen; providing learning support services. 5. Liaising with departments and disciplines at Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao campuses. 6. Managing dormitory area libraries in Sipailou and Dingjiaqiao campuses and conducting resource inventory. 7. Managing Foreign Teaching Materials Center of China Education Ministry, Guoding Reading Room, Tong Jun Collection and Exhibition Room. 8. Other tasks assigned by leadership. |
